Microsoft Software and Services are toe cornerstone of today's business and home networking and applied solutions.  The extensions of  Microsoft's foundation of solutions can be found behind the endpoint solutions you choose to incorporate into your preferred hardware and software end user platforms. Every time you see .NET requirements, or Office 365 products or services, you are using Microsoft's technology.  Every time you use Skype or Linked-In, you are relying on Microsoft's technology.  Most of the database solutions you encounter are built sing Microsoft core intelligence.  SQL database solutions are Microsoft solutions.  The XBox world is a huge part of the Microsoft family of gaming and multimedia technologies.

Microsoft is not the only game in town and Microsoft relies on partnerships to provide the overall solutions we use every day.  But behind the Internet giants that have taken over their respective "free" services on the Internet.  The company that has remained true to what they believe in from the top down, supporting corners of the world that are not so privileged, giving much of the personal wealth to make this world a better place, The balance of leading technology and departure from greed cannot be ignored.  The ability to do business not vialed by "free" services should not be overlooked.

Microsoft is not perfect, but they  seem to balance the very real need to provide products and services necessary to make the business world work, with a level of transparency and truthfulness that is second to none.
